Erika Towne
Program Director
Hi, I'm Erika. I was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. I moved to Vermont to attend Saint Michael’s College where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2012. I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Education with a focus on Administration from Champlain College, and am a licensed teacher in Vermont. I have been an early educator for over 12 years. Before joining CCC, I started and directed a preschool program and feel strongly about providing quality care for children across our state.
I place great emphasis on nature connections, outdoor play, and age-appropriate risk taking in order to help children build resilience and develop an appreciation for the natural world. In my spare time, I enjoy writing, birding, playing disc golf with my husband, and collecting mid-century furniture.Â
